SuperNova?

Isn't a supernova an imploding star?  I hope the shoe fits.

But from what I've seen, they'll continue to shine.

    "A supernova (plural: supernovae) is a stellar explosion. Supernovae are extremely luminous and cause a burst of radiation that often briefly outshines an entire galaxy, before fading from view over several weeks or months."

    So they'll win the tournament and then fade from view?
