Former Kentucky Starter Rides the Bench at Cornell (True Story)

Cornell (12 seed, Ivy) plays Kentucky (1 seed, SEC) Thursday.  One person has played for both teams.  Mark Coury started 29 games at Kentucky when he was a sophomore.  Since he transferred to Cornell, he is an important contributor, but he does not start.  The New York Times has a profile of him you can reach by clicking through the best stat shot of the piece:

The difference between the programs could not be more vast. Cornell (29-4) has played in seven N.C.A.A. tournament games. Kentucky (34-2) has won seven national championships. Cornell spends less than $1 million on its men's basketball budget. Kentucky allocates $8.6 million.
